We are finishing our champagne and wine tour by driving through Alsace to Germany. After day 7 spent in nearby Nancy, we are now visiting hills covered by vineyards just across the French border in Germany. We can still see France from the terrace of Haus Rebland, our hotel room is overlooking the green vineyards. We recommend this place for its great service and cuisine and the location is perfect for visiting the fine spa town of Baden-Baden.
The hotel’s incredible wine list gives us colorful scales of the amount of residual sugar in each wine. What a smart idea that is! It was certainly worthwhile driving through Alsace to Germany.
We recommend you try a local Pinot Blanc from Weingut Kopp with a selection of three fish with a red pepper sauce.
